It is! The movie is truly great! I don't know, I thought Kill Bill, with which he completely lost me, was supposed to be his id movie, but no. Because Tarantino's id is really far less about blood, rape, murder and lesbian sex than he wants us to think. It's much more about having fangazms all over new wave French cinema and nerding out shamelessly in public and killing his characters one sentence before they peak as characters, two sentences before they're past their prime.
But the foot fetish, yes, is all true, I have no doubt.
