This was so wonderful!! It was such an adventure story and yet all the things about Merlin trying to come to grips with his past gave it such a strong emotional drive--when Arthur says that he loves him, and Merlin is so happy--oh, it was just perfect! And I was so worried Arthur would die, so I'm glad it was a happy ending :) I really liked this image of a young Balinor, too--reckless, a bit abrasive, very committed. And when Arthur finds Merlin crying in Hilda's skirts--well, there were just so many great moments that I could go on and on. And Gwaine! He was perfect and brought a great touch of humor to the story. And my heart really ached for Arthur, that he had to go through so many reincarnations alone, and then to find his Merlin again--well, sorry for the rambling comment here--I just loved it!
