Here is a torrent for an English fansubbed avi of a classic Russian sci-fi movie Kin-Dza-Dza made in 1986. The adventures of a student, a construction foreman and a box of matchsticks in another galaxy. A culture shock scenario, a hero's journey, a story of a beautiful friendship, a commentary on human condition, and you know what, I can talk about it forever and wouldn't do it justice. Oh, it's also a comedy. Check it out.

I'm really tempted. It sounds worth watching and I may try to track it down elsewhere.

I've never used a torrent, but I was nearly seduced. However, the thought of getting it through three layers of firewall proved too much.

I might ask my daughter to get it for me. She downloads enthusiastically. Hence her frantic phone call last year of "Mum, my computer's full. What do I do?" I was not sympathetic. She might do it for me as long as she never sees this comment:)

Heee, yes, computers have this annoying tendency to get full. To think that at one point I couldn't imagine why would I need a 100 gig hard drive...

Hope you'll be able to watch this movie - it's one of my all-time favourites. Really enjoyable!
