new_kateI had the most excellent weekend. Totally worth a post after months of not-posting.
Firstly, I was firmly refused service at a liquor store. Which, on the eve of my 9th wedding anniversary, was pretty sweet actually.
Secondly, my husband accidentally dyed his hair purple.
Okay, this might need context.
After discovering that he's been left in the state of having no beer because, to some insane but lovely person, his wife apparently looks barely legal, he decided it was time to cover some greys. So he grabbed some darkish-looking dye while on a beer run, failed to read the label and generally suspected nothing till he was already rinsing it off and heard me shouting through the bathroom door: "Oh hey, what made you go for 'Plum', anyway?"
It turned out awesome, you guys. It made his eyes look so incredibly green! Also, purple, it seems, somehow is the answer to both my dark hair and red hair fetishes. Guh. Sadly, he doesn't think this lovely vibrant look would be compatible with his job as a project manager for government contracts. He'd still let me enjoy it all weekend, and after I went to sleep yesterday he dyed it again.
This morning he called me at the office and asked me to pick up some bleach and more hair dye. Ahaha. Well, in the immortal words of my ex, uttered some minutes after he recklessly asked me to trim his bangs, there is one hair style that's never too late to try.
Also: springtime!!!
