Dammit, I'm pretty sure the first 25 minutes of this weren't meant to make the viewer cry.
BUT THIS IS THE SADDEST STORY EVER OMG.
However the VR "homage" scene made me chuckle and omg, the bulldog puppy is still alive! That puppy was never ever mentioned in the books since Watson told Holmes about it before they moved in together. I kind of always assumed Holmes made it disappear somehow and Watson, intrigued and enraptured as he was by his new friend, failed to notice.

1) Mrs Hudson's dog that dies at the end of STUD is actually Watson's.
2) (My personal fave) Watson was actually referring to his temper.
