I've been working on this reinc Saiyuki fic on and off for the last - well, ever. Since January. Lately, after I received kind words of encouragement about it *hugs runefallstar and hibem*, it got crazy persistent and for the last several days I had to limit myself to writing no more than 1000 words a day to still be able to retain sanity and keep up with, like, life and stuff. So, update on that.

1) the story titled Party is finally done.  It's 16000 words long *blinks*. I also attempted a 83. Don't know how much of it will survive the edit though.

2) together with the story titled Experiment it makes up only a half of the stupid fic. Experiment is 15000 words long.

3) it's actually the second half *headdesks*. So now I have to write the first half before I can release anything. Hopefully, it will not be as humongous.

4) going from Hakkai's POV to Goku's is frustrating to the nth degree. You lose about two thirds of the vocabulary you had to play with and go through a severe smut withdrawal.

5) I'm having scary amounts of fun with this. Saiyuki is love, reinc is pure crack, and because of the nature of this fic I have no quibbles about it being all jump cuts from one scene I enjoy writing to the other scene I enjoy writing even more.

And now I'm about to attack the Part One again. Fourth rewrite just might be the charm. Or not, but then I'll get to write about Sanzo being all grumpy from yet another angle: totally a win-win. Yay!

Yay, thanks!!! Will work harder. Well, you've seen part one, if I can streamline it a bit and make Gojyo to be more like a Gojyo and less like that nice antennaed girl from Chrno Crusade... Hey, I haven't watched it yet, does she get together with Chrno? Because that'd be like some really deviant 85!
Anyway, as a special homage to you and our chats I've found a way to write in the words "shimmering purple orbs"!!! But they are not Sanzo's eyes for once - they are just orbs. Shimmering and purple.

Well, no, there's rather pronounced Rosette/Chrno (and Rosette is Lina and Sanzo's ungodly child), especially in the anime, but in the manga she gropes him on every opportunity. I'll post up a pic once I find one =)

There's something about reinc, isn't there? I haven't even finished Existential, and I got glomped with AU How Far... and now my AU plot bunny has bred and handed me a reinc fic to follow up with. ^_^;

So yeah, I'd love to read yours whenever you get it in a presentable state. ^_^

It's a reinc to How Far... that I was attempting to make notes for on the subway today when I was interrupted by some very persistent chatty (half-drunk) guys across the aisle. They were entertaining, though, so I forgave them from breaking my Gyumaoh-as-gundam train of thought. ^_~
